Mačkića Cave

Mačkića Cave is about 10 km away from Sitnica settlement, and got its name after the village Mačkići, which is in immediate vicinity of the cave. The cave has two large entrances and a number of smaller ones located at the higher altitude of the cave. The interior of the cave has not yet been sufficiently explored, and it is also very difficult to access. The easiest access to the cave is frpm village Mačkići.
Below the mouth of the cave is the spring of the small River Banjica, which is also a clear mountain river. Downstream along the river stream, near the village of Kljutići, is on of the oldest Orthodox churches in our region.
