Zvornik
Because of its great strategic importance, the town that was considered the “key of Bosnia” was a frequent target of various invaders.
The Drina River and Zvornik lake are rich in trout and suitable for fishing, water sports and relaxation.
Banks of the Drina River are a favourite spot for those who prefer to spend their leisure time in nature by a river enjoying various activities. The bank consists of a large space with plenty of natural shade, suitable for resting in nature and, with recreational features of the Drina River, this place is ideal for large gatherings for fun and relaxation. Picnic goers are offered three pavilions that allow a more comfortable stay during the entire day and also during the evening when they can organise different forms of entertainment and socializing.
On the banks of the Drina River, there are sport grounds for beach volleyball and football on sand as well as a mini outdoor gym and a playground, which further enriches content for visitors. Next to the bank, there is a lit and landscaped pedestrian zone with benches.
In addition to natural beauties, which there are so many here, we can also find many cultural monuments: Zvornik fortress, Museum collection and Andrassy villa.
A place that definitely should be visited is the monasteries Lovnica, Papraca, Tavna, Tronosa and a church in town from 1823.
Svakako treba posjetiti manastire Lovnicu, Papraću, Tavnu, Tronošu i u samom gradu crkvu iz 1823. godine.
