River Usora
The River Usora is for the most of its flow a torrential river. The total length of the River Usora, from the spring below the peak Očauš in the mountain massif Borje, to its confluence above Doboj, is 82 km. The River Lijeva is a tributary of the River Bosna. The river is called Velika Usora before the town of Teslić, and in the place called Sastavci, below the town, the river joins with its much smaller tributary Mala Usora. This river also comes from a mountain range, below which are the spring of the rivers Vrbanja and Ukrina.
In the early history Usora was considered to be a gold-bearing river, and it is still believed to be one in its upper course, along with numerous larger and smaller tributaries and streams. The river is famous for its abundance of fish. Experienced anglers know that this river is a home to sneep, chub, rudd, pike, whitefish and, in the upper stream, trout.
