Prijedor fishing area

Prijedor fishing area includes the City of Prijedor area and municipalities of Novi Grad and Oštra Luka, which are abundant in cypirinid and salmonid fish species.

The middle and lower part of the crystal clear River Sana and the central part of the emerald-green Una River with its tributaries make this region an ideal place for fishermen eager for outsmarting capital pieces of fish such as Danube salmon, catfish, grass carp, carp etc. The Una River provides all conditions for lovers of fly fishing. The river is a part of the large natural heritage of Republic of Srpska. The river is a home to 170 different species of medicinal herbs and 28 species of fish, among which the most significant are grayling, trout and Danube salmon.

Apart from the rivers, the fishing area of Prijedor also include the artificial lakes in  Ljubija, Gradina, Tomašica, as well as the perimeter canal of Saničani fish farm.
