Archaeologically locality of Kulište
Archaeologically investigated locality of Kulište, on the north-eastern edge of the village Kruškovo Polje, is the oldest Neolithic settlement in the vicinity of Šamac.
It is also believed that it was exactly there, while fighting against the last Bosnian king Stjepan Tomašević in 1460, that the Turkish sultan Mehmed II the Conqueror built the Šamac fortress, which king Tomašević conquered and destroyed in June 1463.
